Most trappers asked for the typical and classic binoculars destined for night-hunting will point at model with 8x56 lens so equipment with 56 mm objective diameter and 8x magnification. Others will probably add 7x50 and 9x63 and that’s the end of suggestions. Apparently this kind of equipment is good but not for everyone. As it turn out, the same results and even better are possible to achieve by binos like 8x42, 8x50 or 10x50.
