The Ultravid HD-Plus series was launched in 2014-2015 replacing the Ultravid HD devices. Currently it consists of roof prism devices with objective diameters from 32 to 50 mm. All binoculars feature Schmidt-Pechan prisms, covered by dielectric HighLux (HLS) coatings to ensure high transmission level.

The American Bushnell company feature a very wide line-up of binoculars and somewhere in the middle of their price point range you can find a series called Legend Ultra HD which consists of models with the following parameters: 8x26, 10x26, 10x25, 8x36, 10x36, 8x42 and 10x42.

In 2013 the Rangers Pro were substituted by the Rangers Xtreme. Once again you deal here with four roof prism instruments: the 8×32, the 8×42, the 10×42 and the 8×56. However the new models feature wider fields of view than their predecessors; the physical dimensions and weight changed a bit as well.

Kowa is a Japanese producer with a limited line-up which, nevertheless, is quite well-known on the market. Most of it consists of ornithology instruments which not so long ago were entirely produced in Japan.

The Zeiss Conquest series was launched on the market over ten years ago. These binoculars were produced by Zeiss in their Hungarian factory and, overall, the series consisted of ten models, with the diameter of objectives ranging from 30 to 56 mm.

In January 2013 Zeiss surprised everybody by presenting a new series of binoculars called Terra ED and produced in China. The 8x42 and 10x42 models were shown as the first. In March 2015 the 8x32 and 10x32 models were added and, several months later, they were joined by the ‘babies’ – the 8x25 and the 10x25 instruments.

If you are looking for marine binoculars the German Steiner company offers you two specialized series: the cheaper Navigator and the more expensive Commander. In both cases you deal with Porro prism 7x30 and 7x50 instruments, available with or without compass built-in.

The Spirit ED series produced by Vanguard consists currently of four pair of binoculars with the following parameters: 8x36, 8x42, 10x42 and 10x50.

The optical system of the Nikon 7x50IF SP WP consists of an achromatic objective (2 elements in one group), Porro prisms behind which there is an element flattening the field and an eyepiece system with 5 elements positioned in 4 groups.
