The newest Swarovski Optik binoculars series, called NL Pure, consists of three models that feature very wide fields of view, corrected perfectly up to the edge. What optical system hides behind such an excellent image quality? It was a complete mystery but our X-ray photos can reveal a bit more about the unique Swarovski design.

In the middle of June 2020 journalists specialising in widely understood sports optics were informed that on 30 June there would be an online webinar concerning novelities launched by the renowned Swarovski Optik company. These novelties would be officially presented worldwide the very next day.

The Vortex Diamondback HD series was launched in the middle of 2019. At that time it consisted of as many as eight models with following parameters: 8x28, 10x28, 8x32, 10x32, 8x42, 10x42, 10x50 and 12x50. In 2020 another pair of binoculars, the 15x56, was added to that line-up.

The Frontier series, produced by the UK Hawke company, is divided into two lines: the cheaper Frontier HD X and the more expensive Frontier ED X. Both of them feature 8x32, 10x32, 8x42 and 10x42 models which come in two rubber armour versions, either gray or green.

In 2018 Bushnell company remade completely their line-up of binculars and the Nitro series was one of the novelties, presented at that time. It comprised of three roof prism models with the following parameters: 10x25, 10x42, 10x36 and 10x42.

In 2019 Vortex took a very brave step and decided to attack the position of the biggest market players by launching the Razor UHD line which models are at a price point of 2000 USD.

In the middle of 2019 Kowa announced that in the fall a new BDII-XD series would hit the shelves, this time without the 'Prominar' word in the name. They also decided to change the number of models and some parameters – this time the new series would consist of: 6.5x32, 8x32, 10x32, 8x42, and 10x42 devices.

The Vortex Razor HD series was launched on the market in 2012 and not so long ago it represented the high-end, flagship line of that American producer. In 2019 it was suplemented by Razor UHD models but it remained in their product range.
