Summary: Previous to these Kowa 10x33s I owned a pair of Leica 10x50 HDs. These Kowas have the same fabulous bright crisp image of those Leicas without the downsides (for me) which were size, weight and close-focus of over 3 metres (you find yourself walking backwards to look at butterflies etc.). For my professional work as a nature guide these Kowa 10x33 binoculars are pretty much perfect. I can scan habitats easily and go from identifying a bird of prey in the distance to checking a butterfly at my feet in a little over a turn of the large well engineered smooth focus wheel. I\'ve worked for nearly 40 years in the wildlife business and owned a range of binoculars over the years including Leicas. I\'ve also had the chance to look through and borrow many more including Zeiss and Swarovski and for me these Kowas are the best.
