Cons: Very heavy for a 8X32 class binoculars
Pros: Very easy to look through this binoculars thanks to excellent eyepieces. This instrument has very good light transmission and excellent resolution on the edges. HG-L does not have the resolution of the new model Monarch HG 8x30 but off-axis the old HG-L are far superior to the new one. Also the construction is like a tank.
Summary: This binoculars are no longer manufactured but it is still very competitive!

Cons: Rubber armour is very durable but shows up scuff marks etc very easily. Quite large and heavy for an 8 x 32 binocular
Pros: Excellent ergonomics. Superb smooth focusing wheel, good eye relief, large field of view. Built like a tank. At least as good as any German 8 x 32s, but without the perceived status of Zeiss, Swarovski, Leica. I have a pair of Leica 8 x 32 BAs, and the Nikons are a better all round binocular!
Summary: One of the best 8 x 32 binoculars ever made. Sharp, bright, great handling ion the field and the best focusing wheel of any binocular on the market.

Cons: Noticeable CA (also at the center) ruin the potential sharpness Very heavy with ugly rainguard Poor rubber coating (is consumed by friction on the body)
Pros: Solid binoculars Good eyecups Good field of view and edge sharpness
Summary: Of all my binoculars is the only one that would like to sell

Cons: Poor strap, rainguard and case. In certain light CA is noticeable
Pros: Sharp, bright image. Good field of view and edge sharpness. Great contrast gives vivd punchy image.
Summary: Fantastic value for money and in its own way an equal to all the other alpha 8x32's regardless of what others might say.
