User profile: Amateur
Cons: Heavy and bulky, requires more careful handling and transport than conventional bingos due to the delicate stabilizer. Slight CAs and veiling glare when sun is close to line of sight. Requires very accurate focusing. The stabilizer is not as effective for correcting body sway or slow tremor as active IS (Canon, Fuji), however the fast tremor is perfectly compensated.
Pros: Stunning detail of subjects far away - this is an experience. Very sharp optics with good contrast - however not at the level of modern state-of-the art optics like top tier-Zeiss, Swarovski, Leica or Nikon HG. Stabilizer does not require batteries and is totally quiet. 3D-rendering very pleasing thanks to the shallow depth of field an Porro-prisms.
Summary: The Zeiss 20x60s is still a masterpiece of fine mechanics and unique in concept and performance.
