Cons: HD superseded by the HD Plus in 2014 and the price increased. HD Plus £1680 New from Leica Mayfair HD Plus £1500 Ex display in superb condition from Leica Mayfair HD Plus £1399 online retailers HD £1000 Ex demo in excellent ++ condition from Leica Mayfair HD £949 mint condition from renown sellers. HD £1249 New (back in 2014) One external difference the \"Plus\" has the HD in Red. If you see any difference between the HD and HD Plus then it\'s going to come at dawn or dusks if any. HD not available new at the old price! The HD Plus increased the 7x42 price by 35%...

Pros: Leica 7x42 gives an amazing depth of field and minimal focusing adjustment, therefore more time immersed in what you at looking at. Calmer image and the 6mm exit pupil provides an amazing bright image. Going for x7 magnification is often a better compromise then going up to a 50mm that will weigh 1000g plus. Weighed mine and it came in at 765g and so much lighter then the SLC 7x42.

Summary: Save yourself some money and get the HD second hand unless you find the HD Plus much better. Only top brand still producing 7x42, so get one before they are all sold out.
