Cons: Not as solid as the original dialyt
Pros: Fully waterproof
Summary: I have both this and the older Dialyt and the older (original) version has a better look than this model. Dont get me wrong, I like the fact that this is waterproof etc, but the look has changed when looking through these. There is a tad chromatic and I think build quality doesn\'t seem to be as good.

Cons: Distortion and slightly soft edges but only mildly apparent under certain conditions and easily ignored. Not a practical issue and worth it for the huge field.
Pros: Brightness. Field of view. Natural, easy and relaxing view. Excellent central sharpness. Excellent balance, handling and feel. Smooth focusing. Robust.
Summary: The most relaxed natural view and handling of any binocular - along with the 7x42 BGAT. Brightness, steadiness and sharpness in normal use reveal at least as much detail as higher power binoculars. Terrific.

Cons: None, really. The image does soften towards the edges, but this is unnoticeable unless you look for it and I like the Zeiss design philosophy of optimising centre sharpness.
Pros: Very bright, very sharp. Wide fov, good depth of field. Excellent ergonomics. Light for the specification.
Summary: The best general purpose binocular around. Excellent for birdwatching, astronomy and marine use. The easiest & best view yet from a Zeiss binocular (including Night Owl & Dialyt 7x42)

Owner since: 3 months
Price: 1420€
User profile: Amateur
Cons: decrease of sharpness starting at ~50% from center
Pros: excellent FOV in this class of bino (~60°) excellent center sharpness, brightness and contrast no distortion, a tad of CA ligthweigth conveniant focusing, rubber surface
Summary: Best 7x bino for me, despite sharpness decrease I primarily desired the Fujinon 7x50 FMTR but it was much too heavy and bulky for my application, (astro&mountain) a further con was the narrow view (<52,5°). I sent it back.
