Overall
Owner since: more than 10 years
Price: 350 USD
User profile: Semipro
Cons: 1. No longer available. 2. Heavy. 3. Rubber eyecups develop crack after 10 years.
Pros: 1. Built like a tank-- must be ICBM proof. 2. Excellent optical quality: the view is almost identical to Nikon SP, just a little bit less contrast and hair dimmer than SP under direct comparison.
Summary: Both SP and PIF are keeper. Both are heirloom glass.

Cons: Very heavy, very large.
Pros: 99.5% !!!!!!!! sharp from edge to edge, natural colors, high contrast, maximum depth of field.
Summary: Thanks Andrew! Really 7x50 better.

Cons: Like the PIF 10x50 - heavy!
Pros: Superb build. Very, very sharp and high contrast. Sharper to the edge than the 10x50 version.
Summary: This is the best 7x50 I have looked through in terms of image quality. It is very sharp and stars are pinpoints to the edge.
