Cons: Narrow field of view, I think. Flat picture, probably due to the roof prism design.
Pros: Good picture, easy to handle and to hold. Lightweight but still with a solid feeling and appearance.
Summary: A very good instrument, with an impressive design (I think it\'s beautiful!). Have had it for almost 40 years, although never used it under harsh conditions. I\'m glad I bought the 10x40 and not the smaller one, as it gives a relatively high magnification without increasing the weight too much.

Cons: - Large close focus distance ca. 6 m (not stated in the specs) - soft focusing wheel system creates the risk to change diopters - rubber eyepiece guards tend to deform with the time - a sense that they belong more to the vitrine that to the field - pale yellowish image, but not disturbing at all
Pros: - amazing sharpness tested with stars - very well corrected image to the border!! - very friendly for eyeglass wearers (as myself). with folded eyecups, the image is very wide and confortable - the body is all metal, providing a sense of high quality - nice Multicoating in all lenses - compact and relatively light weight
Summary: I bought these Notarems to complete my collection of CZJ binoculars. I was happy to receive an almost mint specimen. Despite some comments pointing problems with the internal focus system, it seems to work fine. Compared with the 10x50 Dekarems, you can notice the gap in luminosity, but you gain a lot in sharpness. Using them with glasses is a pleasure that i did not experienced with my other vintage binos (and some new models). I will use them in the field but certainly they are today more a collector item than a daily, all around bino due to the long close focus. Still highly recommendable if you find them at good price 150 EUR at least)

Cons: None at this price!
Pros: Brought at a local second hand shop for £5.00. The case is 95/100 and the binos 97/100. The strap hasn\'t been used and has the original lense covers and the *PRAZISION AUS JENA* cleaning cloth.
