Cons: A little bit heavy, eye cups could have felt a little bit firmer for my liking
Pros: WOW, excellent image quality, outstanding flare control, great ergonomics.
Summary: This 8x42 is an excellent optic and well worth it money wise, when you compare it to the big three. Its performance / price is excellent. The image is bright and very sharp with a very natural feel to it. The balance of the binocular is also very good. I have compared it to my 10x42GR HD and there is not much difference in them regarding optical quality. There is the slightest hint of CA at around 80% out in the FOV whereas the HD version has about 5% less in the same area. Extremely happy as the view is so natural and the colours are also REAL, without that oversaturated look. Highly recommended if you can find one, seeing that these beauties are now unfortunately discontinued. Once again 5 Stars for value and quality On a side note, these also handle flare better than my Zeiss FL 8x42..and that is saying something...brilliant optic and not enough praise given to this non HD version...
