Cons: Rubber ocular guard dated
Pros: Weight, size, resolution
Summary: Iv'e had the 150 Jahre version for many years now and I must say, the quality of image and pleasantness is so much better than today's offerings. I have owned everything from Zeiss FL 8x32, Leica 8x32 Ultravid as well as Trinovid and Swaro 8x32 EL. In a Compact binocular I have found the Zeiss 8x30 BTP and the Leica Trinovid 8x32 to be in a different league from today's binoculars. The view is razor sharp as is to be expected, but what separates these is the "pleasantness" if there is such a thing. The image is amazing and "enjoyable". Is this binocular technically perfect?..NO, but thats whats great about it, overtime you use this glass, it transmits the nostalgia associated with Zeiss and its legendary glass. This model is a classic that still surprises me today with its exceptional handling, design and image quality. 5 STARS

Summary: this little gem far outperforms ANY binocular I have ever used, they are a work of art and a birders dream. If you get the chance buy them!
