Cons: Not as sharp compared to Zeiss Conquest HD or Leica Trinovid; however, its optics do have a very relaxing view.
Pros: Exceptional build quality. Outer armor is vastly improved over earlier Monarch series. Armor doesn\'t stain or dirty as easy. Optical quality is improved. Very comfortable viewing. Very pleasing view. Can view extended periods of time without any issue. Focus knob is smooth. Focus throw is good. Locking diopter is easy to use and is easy to manipulate.
Summary: For the money, the Monarch M7 are an exceptional value. Don\'t hesitate to buy. The relaxing optical view was very surprising.
