Overall
Owner since: more than 10 years
Price: $450
User profile: Amateur
Cons: Stiff central focusing wheel.
Pros: Extremely sharp optics with almost undetectable chromatic aberration. I planned to replace these with new Zeiss Conquest 10x42 binoculars and found that these are a hair sharper (I could barely read a distant sign with the Minox, but not with the Conquests). Chromatic aberration was more noticeable on the Zeiss at the edges than with these.
Summary: Extremely good value, and could be a lifetime binocular if the slow center focus doesn\'t bother you.
