Cons: Light gathering capability not quite as good as modern optics, but these are a quarter of a century old!
Pros: Superb build quality, compact and easy to hold steady. Image quality is probably still equal to or better than all but the alpha models of today.
Summary: I\'ve owned this binocular for 26 years and still love it. 12 years ago, I bought a 10x42 Ultravid HD. Yes, the image was bigger and brighter, but the trade-off was that it was more shaky. I sold the big boy and still have the 8x32. That should say something.

Cons: Heavier than newer options
Pros: Unsurpassed clarity Excellent light gathering Excellent sharpness Smooth and easy focus knob movement Rugged and very solid Excellent balance
Summary: Excellent hunting glass, light-gathering is amazing, as is clarity. These are superior glasses for hunting in that they\'re compact yet amazing quality and view.

Cons: Only 8x magnification.
Pros: I bought it used and therefore paid very little for it (£22). It is obviouly not the latest and greatest, but because of the Leica name I bought it anyway. It has some scuff marks but otherwise its in good condition. I am impressed by the build quality, the focusser is light and smooth, the lenses are Leica quality and even though its only 8x the image is perfect. I will definately be packing this in future outings.
Summary: A great pair of binoculars!!

Cons: Eye relief could be longer for full field of view with glasses on. Focusing wheel moves smoothly, but could move more easily.
Pros: Built like a tank. Very comfortable to hold and use. Still optically as good as new after 19 years of regular use. Compact and easy to carry around ones neck in the field
Summary: This binocular has been superseded by better models from all the top manufacturers. However in use I defy anyone to be able to recognise a bird more easily using one of the latest £2000 offerings. My BAs will see me out and hopefully be passed on to my son and one of the grandchildren in the distant future
