Cons: Only one strap supplied so you need to decide whether to use it on the bins or the case. I chose the case. The case protects the bins and there's no strap in the way when I pull them out. Tripod mount is an optional and goofy rubber band arrangement. Obvious pin cushion distortion around outer edges. Move a vertical line like the edge of a building to the edge of the field of view and you'll see what I mean. If you wear contact lenses be sure to extend the eye cups or your contact will stick to the binocular lens and come off. Would be nice is the front rings came off for easier cleaning...like the eye cups.
Pros: I previously owned the 12x50 Ultravid HDs. The plus model is brighter and has a crisper image. Customer service is very good. I asked about buying an extra set of eye cups and they sent them for free.
Summary: Nice bins. Expensive but glad I bought them. I would like a feature that allows me to lock in the pupil to pupil distance adjustment.
