Cons: - Sharp, large center zone (sweet spot) and good corners - Very bright image - Neutral color balance - Low CA even in hard conditions - Low field curvature - Good eye relief

Pros: - Short eyecups (see summary) - weight

Summary: Very bright image, with low vignetting, My 7x36, 7x35, 8x42 binoculars produce good, bright image - but 7x43 is brighter. Even at daylight I see slightly more bright image, thatks for good antireflection coatings. Perfect for cloudy weather and twilight. Sharp, large center zone, and relatively good corners. Field isnt' totally flat, but better, that in 8x43 ed3 and 7x36ed2. Better, that in Monarch 's. Color balance is neutral, I not see any color shift. Depth of field in 7x43 is nice - I love 7x binos for it's DOF. Good eye relief, I see entire field with glasses. One problem - without glasses I see some blackouts, even if eyecups is fully collapsed. Eyecups must have +1 position, +3-4mm long. It's solvable - on birdforum.net you may found solution 8=-) Relatively low chromatic aberrations - may be, slightly more, than is my ed2 7x36, but in any case CA stay on low level and not ruin picture. Even in very hard case (cloudy weather, the white surf of the sea waves and dark gray-green malls ) I see slight CA. At same weather in case of "branches of the trees and the birds in the sky " CA is minimal. My personal opinion - the picture is comfortable for observations (better, than in 8x43 ed3 and other 8x42.). ============

Cons: Some black-outs at daylight,as the eyecups' lengths is shorter than required, even at fully extended position. I've fixed that issue by moving the eyepieces (rubber barrels) a bit upwards.

Pros: Very bright and "Super HD" picture! Superb contrast. Wide FOV, enormous DOF. Figurally No distorsions! Flat field 90...95%. Mechanic operates smooth and precisely. Fit-and-finish of the body is excelent. Very comfortable viewing, even for a long time.

Summary: The best 7x binos under $1500
