Cons: some chromatic aberration when view is backlit sharpness falls off in outer 1.3 of fov
Pros: incredible width of field of view for a 10x binocular excellent color very good brightness operationally the focus, diopter adjust, eye cups are perfectly functional and offer no distractions very comfortable size and weight
Summary: I usually use 8x binos when birding but I bought these for hawk watching. The extra magnification really makes a big difference for identifying distance birds. The huge field of view on these also makes it easy to find the bird. My comparison binos are 8x42 Leupold gold ring HD, which are definitely a step up in terms of sharpness, lack of CA, and low light operation (and price, but not by a huge amount)).
