Cons: Chromatic aberation - more noticeable in certain lights. Doesn't affect centre of vision though, so unlikely to interfere with bird i.d. Re-focussing for distance a lot more acute than used to.
Pros: Build quality; brightness; weight to size ratio; optic quality (other than CA mentioned above). Perhaps 8x42 not so affected y CA?
Summary: Very good bins for the money. CA the only noticeable drawback, but natural reaction to centre the image on the intended target cures this; CA is just at top and bottom in certain lights. Fantastic image otherwise.

Cons: The binoculars seems a bit oversized for the carry case.
Pros: It has a nice classy look with a smooth focuser. The optics is bright with good contrast and colour fidelity. Ive compared them with a Vortex viper HD and Talon Hd 10x42 and couldnt see much difference in sharpness, although the Vanguard was a bit brighter.
Summary: These binos are great value for money and I would recommend them to a 10x42 unless you can find one that would out perform it against price and brightness.

Cons: Very visible chromatic aberration, dissappointing for binoculars advertised to have ED classes(my over 30 years old cheapos have much less). Distortion also quite high. Eypieces a bit too large, not easy to adjust for eyes. Quite strong reflecions in the pupils.
Pros: Good build quality, good blackening of tubes, nice case.
Summary: Overall dissappointed even they are not expensive. The chromatic aberration is very disturbing when looking at snow covered scenes. Actually returned the binos.

Cons: would like wider FOV and perhaps better body armour
Pros: Very Crisp, very bright
