Cons: Compared to the very best 8.5X42 Swarovision, the depth of field is not as good, and the brigntness is a little less. The edge to edge sharpness is not as good as Swarovision, but I don't really notice that difference when actually observing a bird.
Pros: Better chromatic aberration control than Swarovision. Very solid well built design, good focus action, almost world class brightness, excellent color rendition, excellent lens covers, excellent diopter control, good eye relief, excellent control of flaring, fun to use and easy to carry. Best warranty in the business.
Summary: This is very close to a world class binocular at 1/4 the price. You really have to be picky to fault this binocular. The only things I missed compared to the larger Swarovision was the depth of field and the slightly improved brightness. Other people might notice that the edge to edge sharpness is not as good, but this did not bother me in the least.
