Cons: Coatings are good but could have a bit more contrast. and snappier image. Overall good control of stray light but not exceptional. Best used without glasses, traditional fold up eyecups. Objective lens caps weak.
Pros: Absolutely exceptional on axis sharpness in both models I own. Meets and possibly exceeds my Nikon 8x30 e and e2. exceptionally comfortable ease of view. Nice wide field and edge sharpness is adequate, but who cares most viewing is done on axis . build quality is light weight but strong and exudes quality for price point. no rattles or looseness.
Summary: One of the sharpest and best binoculars I own including comparison from numerous high end models. This model is a steal at the curent price. Get it while its still available. Great "depth of focus" no hunting for focus, place them up to your eyes.. focus is immediately "etched on glass" sharp.
