Overall
Owner since: 1 year
Price: $50
User profile: Semipro
Cons: none...presuming you know what you are buying. An uncoated Silvarem has the same drawbacks as any other uncoated binocular. It is however very pleasant to use.
Pros: Excellent sharpness. Image looks very natural. A modern binocular can be so contrasty that the view becomes a bit unnatural.
Summary: Enjoy it for what it is. Similar to the fun of driving and old VW. There are also coated Silvarems and even T3M multicoated Silvarems.

Price: £25-&

Cons: Dated design Will need internal cleaning No coatings on lenses. Limited magnification and brightness. Very prone to flare.
Pros: Its a Zeiss! Rugged build.
Summary: Centre focus Zeiss 6x30, no coatings and if clean a good view in the daylight. This is a collectors item not a binocular you would buy for every day use.
