Overall
Owner since: 1 month
Price: 250
User profile: Semipro
Cons: 1. Filmsy focus knob. 2. Not as substantially built as EL. 3. Some blurring towards the edge. 4. So-so accessories.
Pros: 1. Accurate collimation despite single-hinged design. 2. Good ergonomic and light weight. 3. Excellent coating for its price. 4. Very good optics for its price: long eye relief, image quite sharp at the center, very good CA control, neutral color rendition. Solid (quite a little bit) better than mid-priced performer. 5. Made in Japan.
Summary: I have owned more than 30 pair binoculars including big three, Nikon SP, Pentax PIF, Fujinon FMT 10x50, Bushnell Elite...... and this one is a happy purchase. Good quality to price performance. No it is not as good as EL but definitely worth more than the cost I have paid for.
