Cons: Heavier than I\'d like but helps steady when operating. Lost original lens covers. Inquired on-line to see if Leupold could send me a new cover. Yes, they did N/C
Pros: The clearest, best constructed, comfortable to the eyes and light collection at dust I\'ve ever owned. Better than, In my opinion, the pricier European binoculars. Why did Leupold discontinue these fine optics? I paid $500 on sale through Cabela\'s years ago.
Summary: I guess Leupold decided to compete with other American manufactures and lower their quality and price. It\'s too bad, these glasses outperform the European competition.

Cons: Focus wheel is reversed.
Pros: Clearest quality, pure FOV, weight combination with magnification is excellent.
Summary: I got given these binoculars as a gift and they are truest the best thing I could’ve asked for. As I only use them for looking at birds/wildlife, they are the best tool that I can set my hands apon. Leopold knew exactly what they were doing while making these binoculars and it is sad to know that they are discontinued. They give you a natural feel while looking through them, bright colours, exceptional focusing and tremendous distance and focal areas. definitely recommend grabbing a set if possible.

Pros: excellent resolve, clarity, balance of unit and stable, fov
Summary: This 10x42 HD is an excellent optic and well worth it cost wise, when you compare it to the big three. Its performance / price is excellent. The image is bright and very sharp with a very natural feel to it. The balance of the binocular is very very good considering it weighs in at 958 grams. In fact, the weight is a non issue and works as a bonus to steady the 10x magnification, well thought out Leopold. I have compared it to my Zeiss 8x42 HT and although the Zeiss is brighter (being and 8x also helps), the GR seems to have a huge FOV and considerably sharper at the edges, more than the Zeiss. Highly recommended if you can find one, seeing that these beauties are now unfortunately discontinued. 5 Stars for value and quality
