User profile: Amateur
Cons: Persistent blackouts, cheap accessories, no threaded socket for attaching to a tripod, not waterproof
Pros: Outstanding optics, excellent build construction, comfortable to hold
Summary: The Nikon 12x50SE is first class binocular. It can be hand held but would be better used with a tripod. I one is in search of a relatively high powered binocular, this would be my first and best recommendation.
